Hi Folks! Unfortunately, one of my best friends is moving out to Connecticut (I say unfortunate, because we are in Chicago!) To honor our friendship and all the fun times we've had together, another friend organized a Farewell Scrapbook Album where each family made a scrapbook page or two with some favorite photos.
I truly love how well the larger scale Winnie & Walter stamps translate to scrapbooking, as well as card making. Double the value! I've used The Big, the Bold and Fun set for most of the pages here.
Whether it's for writing on the insides of cards, or journaling on scrapbook pages, I often turn to the lined notebook heart stamp from The Write Stuff: Love Story. And how cool that the "fun" fits right in the heart! The "love this" circle stamp also gets a lot of use to fill in spaces and make things look a little more interesting.
The other nice thing about using these stamps is that you don't need a ton of journaling ... they do all the work for you! The "party on" goes so well with "play" even though they're from different sets. Mix 'n Match, baby!!
The large script words also work well as a title for additional journaling, should you have more to say. I love finding spaces to use the smaller typewriter words, like "go. see. do." or "summer" to date the page.
Since I spent the better part of a day going through my photos (I really need to get better about tagging people in Photoshop!) I ended up with about 50 good pics that didn't make it onto a page. Instead of just handing these extras to her, I made a fun envelope that matched the scrapbook pages to put them in. A red belly band is the perfect place to add a quick sentiment.
